Job description
The Diaphragm wall cutter operator is operating a diaphragm wall trench cutter/hydromill rig. His primary responsibilities is to carry out the excavation works of diaphragm wall panels.
Mains Responsibilities
- He is able to:
• Set up and operate diaphragm wall trench cutter from various makes such as : Bauer BC30/BC40/BC50, Soilmec SH50/SC135 or equivalent
• Operate the cutter efficiently and productively.
• Control the level of excavation fluid (bentonite slurry) inside the panel or barrette
• Understand the steering and flap system to maintain the cutter within excavation tolerances.
• Understand and operate the user interface of the equipment by way of manipulating and adjusting the controls and settings
• Carry out basic machines maintenance and replacement of excavation teeth
• Excavate through soil and rock formation selecting the appropriate tools.
- He records excavation works on QC forms
- He is assisted in his tasks by a an assistant
- He reports to the foreman
Key Requirements:
- The candidate shall process a valid crawler crane license from MOM
- The candidate should have at least 5 years experiences in the operations of trench cutter/hydromill rig in diaphragm wall projects

Job description
The Diaphragm Wall Electrician plays a key role in the Plant team mobilised on site. Under the supervision of the Diaphragm Wall Electrical Supervisor, he/she participates actively at periodic, preventive and corrective maintenance related to electrical and electronic matters. Due to the important amount of risks faced during the execution of this job, he/she shall pay special attention to all safety precautions.
Main responsibilities
- Conducts a daily inspection of the equipment to control the equipment (visual and sound alarms, CCTV,…) and is able to interpret the findings or anomalies on the machine requiring further action.
- Working closely with the Diaphragm Wall mechanics, the Diaphragm Wall Electrician performs the electrical weekly inspections of the equipment in line with the Plant check lists and procedures.
- Participates in the electric installation and energisation of the Diaphragm Wall Trench cutter setup (including the mud treatment/desanding station).
- Supports the electrical setup of all auxiliary equipment (generators, pumps, distribution boxes,…) including the installation at the beginning of the project, the periodic checks and the dismantling.
- Assists the D-Wall Electric Supervisor during the commissioning checks on site.
- Performs the electric related tasks during the preventive maintenance of the equipment.
- Measures and collects the data recorded by the different sensors installed on the rigs on site.
- Under the supervision of the D-Wall Electric Supervisor, participates at the electrical lock-out of a machine.
- Reads and understands the electric diagrams of the machines.
- Keeps logs of his/her activity for future record.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrician roles as part of a team with at least 2 years in special foundations equipment both in workshop and on site.
- Experienced in major excavation, tunnelling or mining equipment. Experience in BAUER or LIEBHERR systems is a big plus.
- Relevant electrical trainings in line with the local Singaporean requirements.

Through min. 15 years of site experience on various type of foundation projects, he has gain strong expertise in diaphragm wall construction which enable him to completely plan, organise, manage and control a large scale diaphragm walls site.
Main responsibilities
- Participates in the preparation, organization and overall coordination of the site
- Together with the Project Manager, works on the creation of teams
- Helps in the choice of specified technical options and in the definition of equipment
- Manages and leads the Supervisory teams of the site(s); organizes their work: sets objectives, checks the schedules timeframes, the efficiency and quality of production
- Draws up the necessary sub-schedules for the works.
- Continuously analyses and suggests improvements in performance.
Key requirements
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience on foundation projects, including min. 10 years experiences on diaphragm walls construction projects

On a foundation project, the desander operator is operating equipment used for the fabrication or the desanding of drilling fluid.
Main responsibilities
He is able to
- Set up a fabrication and desanding installation on a foundation project. A typical installation will include: bentonite mixer, storage tanks and silos, desanders, desilters, decanters and associated pumps.
- Operate the installation:
• to fabricate different types of drilling fluids
• to desand the used drilling fluids and store reusable fluids
- Keep its installation in good working order and clean

- Supervises the works to confirm that requirements of project plans, drawings, method statements
- Takes part in checking the progress schedules and, if necessary, modifies them along the lines suggested by the Site management.
- Participates in the consultation and appointment of suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Coordinates the works and gets them executed until handover, in accordance with the contract.
- Has a role in managing site staff, ensuring health and safety rules are respected.
- Conducts regular site inspections which cover quality, safety and environment etc.

Job description
The Diaphragm Wall Mechanic plays a key role in the Plant team mobilised on site. Under the supervision of the D-Wall Mechanic Superintendent, he/she participates actively at the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the equipment throughout the project. He/She shows great attention to detail and can work on different types of machines and systems while respecting all safety precautions.
Main responsibilities
- Conducts a daily inspection of the equipment to control the equipment (oil levels) and is able to interpret the findings or anomalies (ex: abnormal noise, leakage, etc.) on the machine requiring further action.
- Participates in the mechanic assembly of the Diaphragm Wall Trench Cutter setup in close cooperation with the supplier’s appointed competent representative.
- Assists the D-Wall Mechanic Superintendent during the commissioning checks on site.
- Performs the mechanic related tasks during periodic servicing of the main equipment (BAUER or LIEBHERR HD cranes and carriers) as well as the preventive maintenance measures of the smaller equipment such as pumps.
- Dismantles, repairs and replaces defective units of equipment (diaphragm wall grabs, desanding systems, pumps,…)
- Reads and understands the technical documentation of the machines (hydraulic diagrams, layouts, spare parts,...)
- Performs the mechanical weekly inspections of the equipment in line with the Plant check lists and procedures.
- Keeps logs of his/her activity for future record.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Reports to: D-Wall Mechanic Superintendent
Key requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanic roles as part of a team with at least 3 years in special foundations equipment both in workshop and on site.
- Experienced in diaphragm wall equipment BAUER and/or LIEBHERR.
- Relevant trainings in hydraulics are a plus.
